Fifteen people, passionate about performing chamber repertoire in great places around Halifax and Huddersfield, Yorkshire UK.
We are a small, select group of musicians drawn from across the professional and amateur spectrum. We form a mixed choir (SATB) whose members come from a wide geographical area with Halifax, West Yorkshire, as its rehearsing centre.
The choir was founded in the autumn of 2014 by its Musical Director Bridget Budge, going on to make an exciting and well-received debut at the Church of the Community of the Resurrection, Mirfield in an a-capella concert of short sacred works spanning the fifteenth century to the modern day.
At its full capacity, the choir performs with fifteen singers, but depending on repertoire requirements, concerts are performed with smaller numbers on occasion.
The choir has a passionate commitment to exploring the gamut of choral repertoire, and alongside the well-established repertory, its performances include contemporary works in addition to new compositions both secular and sacred.
